What is it?
The Maricá Startup School is a partnership between Codemar and the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) aimed at equipping entrepreneurs in the city and fostering innovative ideas both in the digital realm and beyond. The school is part of the Municipal Technology Park, a project that aims to make Maricá a reference in innovation.
It is an incentive for local entrepreneurship to achieve economic strength and development, aiming to reduce future dependence of the economy and public administration on oil royalties. The partnership between Codemar and the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) has an expected investment of R$ 2 million.
The initiative offers training programs for companies at various stages of development, along with a digital platform for activities. It also provides guidance, support for initial operational steps, expands business vision, and prepares for adversities until the effective implementation of activities. Moreover, it offers experiences for students to organize their ideas and projects. Currently, most of the training is offered remotely. The school is part of the Municipal Technology Park, a project that aims to make Maricá a reference in innovation within the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro.
The Maricá Startup School, which offers programs involving training, mentoring, lectures, and workshops, is managed by the Planning Department and the Department of Technological Development and Innovation.
